aka Molly Olly Ostomy

Molly Atwater, aka Molly Olly Ostomy, was diagnosed with chronic constipation when she was just a baby and as she grew up her condition became progressively worse. In her 20’s doctors finally figured out the root of the problem – a combination of anatomical abnormalities in her colon and dysfunctional muscles in her rectum. She has had three surgeries, lost three organs, and spent more than 60 days in three different hospitals while gaining an ostomy. Yet in that time, she’s also graduated with a Master’s degree, hiked in the Grand Canyon, started a full-time job, and got engaged to her best friend. Today Molly is a flourishing young woman who’s become a patient advocate and influencer for people living with an ostomy. Follow her journey @mollyollyostomy on Instagram and Facebook.
