The Leading Patient-Centric Platform for GI Patients

Over the years, Gastro Girl has evolved to what it is today – the leading patient-centric platform, purposed with providing GI patients with the support they need…when and how they need it. Gastro Girl provides patients with access to the information, expert support and counsel they needed to improve their digestive health.

How are we doing? Well, the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) recently announced that Gastro Girl is its official patient education partner for the approximately 70 million individuals in the United States that suffer from digestive symptoms, disorders, and diseases.

What Does the Gastro Girl Platform Include?

The Gastro Girl platform includes evidenced-based information, a safe and secure online community forum for interacting with fellow patients and clinical experts, and the ability to conduct HIPAA-compliant virtual care appointments with registered dietitians, gastroenterologists, psychologists, and other healthcare team members.

In addition, Gastro Girl provides access to specialized support groups led by digestive health and nutrition experts, as well as a digital health journal where you record and track your symptoms, mood, health status and what you eat in the way that works best for you (e.g., pictures, video, audio recordings, and written journal entries).

Gastro Girl is uniquely positioned to provide you with vital support  between doctor office visits.

From the Founder of Gastro Girl

I’m Jacqueline Gaulin — or as I’m also known to most gastroenterologists, registered dietitians, and GI patients — Gastro Girl! After struggling for years with digestive issues, I was diagnosed with IBS in 2007. It was around the same time that I created Gastro Girl as a blog to educate people on the role the digestive health system has on overall health and wellness.

We believe that a patient-centric and collaborative approach to gastrointestinal health in between office visits will help the one-in-four in people in the US who is suffering from chronic GI symptoms—or a condition, like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) — achieve better health.

Through our HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform and online support community, our focus is on connecting patients to GI experts — including clinicians, registered dietitians, psychologists and health coaches as well as to the evidence-based health information they need to follow their doctor’s treatment plan and make informed health care decisions with their care team for better health outcomes.

Take a look around, and see how Gastro Girl can help you on your journey to feel better!
